The Importance of Hope in the Psalms

David had such a like incredibly interesting life and, and I mean interesting in the same sense that the ancient Egyptian curse meant interesting. He just went through so much and he had so many, so many times where he could have just as bad and gone. That's what really marks the Psalms is this absolute despair and utter hopelessness. And then this nevertheless I shall trust in the Lord nevertheless I shall hope in the Lord.
