The Role of Visual Inattention in Teen Driving

The steer intervention addresses many issues that are related to teen driving. One of the important components was the development of a driving contract. Parents exhibited fewer negative comments during practice at the post assessment and a six month follow up after this intervention. Patients themselves reported that they engaged in fewer risky driving behaviors, post treatment. But there was no effect on the naturalistic driving risky events.
