The company has made strides in artificial intelligence and is also using AI to make its reels short video format more engaging for users. But it does appear as though the economy in Meta's biggest markets is going to slow down and perhaps even enter a recession, which would obviously have knock-on effects for advertising spending. In the longer term, the bet on the Metaverse remains a very, very large one and a very,very uncertain one.
