Aquinas' Interpretation of Creation

Aquinas would act in his interpretation. He would say, well, the biblical outer mentions only earth and water but he must have been aware about that other two elements are air and fire. So this is his revelation. But what is important for us, again, creation is here. What happens next for Aquinas is the opus distinctionis, which means the work of distinction. That makes distinctions or divides those realms in the created universe. And on the third day, we have production of plants. Importantly, Aquinas uses term production here. so he's not entirely consistent in distinguishing betweenproduction and creation.
