For static properties such as the columns, the number of rows and the valid range of value s it's fairly easy to write automatically executable tests. But more generally speaking, nothing beats visualizations. I can also use tools such as missing no, you know, missing n o,. which can give me a visual over view of the number of null values in the data set.
