A lot of doctors prescribe antibiotics for an ear infection. What should one do instead of jumping antibiotics if a kid has an ear infection? My experience with my daughter as a baby who was born via C-section, so missed out on that important colonization of microbes coming through the birth canal formed the basis for me being interested in this and looking at things through a different lens. Yeast is a critical role in digestion; when you take an antibiotic it kills off a lot of the healthy lactobacterium which is really not an infection but overgrowth.
