When joining a startup, one of the things you need to figure out right away is where you might want to index a little more on. There are typically three areas that pms find themselves growing their skills further. Try to understand early on, if you need to grow your own skills a little more in one of these three areas and do that. Be flexible and understand where you need to step in - sometimes no one actually understands that that's something that needs to be communicated to you.
