Octavian and Antony's Rivalry at Philippi
Antony's finest hour is when he loses. Caesar could conceivably have chosen given the nod to antony, but he chooses octavian. It's partly because octavian is a closer relative of caesar. He will stop at nothing to succeed. augustus had a brilliant it's funny that after eliminating all the opposition, he did sort of mature into a statesman of sorts. I think maybe in retrospect, i think more highly of him than when i wrote the book. The work of the great ronald sim had a lot to do with the augustan revolution.
