The Systemic Mistakes of the Western World in 1910, 1912
The fight of imperialism was great power competition. Napoleon III ushered in many of the great reforms of the 19th century, including the 1860 Anglo-French Treaty of Commerce. He's often referred to as the idiot emperor or the little Napoleon. The late 19th century is not in fact a period of massive inequality,. It's a period of greater consumption equality all across Western Europe.
