"I don't think there's an area in the United States that has kind of up their development of players and youth hockey like Chicago," he says. "There weren't many kids from Chicago that were going past, you know, I mean, some of them were sneaking into college, but not many" He adds: "You look at kids coming from everywhere now in the U.S. ... It's kind of hard to believe that back then, you couldn't get really good programs."
