God Knows Better Than We Do
Some prayers aren't answered because god has something better for us. James, in his letter to the church in jerusalem, points out two reasons that prayers often go unanswered. Augustine wrote about some prayer as worrying in god's direction. Some prayers are just a spiritualized mask for worry or lust or greed or anger.
