The series is about the reinvention of modernity using an alternative translation source our modernity is translated from classical antiquity meaning Rome and and and Greece largely as a result of the Renaissance but what if we have a different way of doing this. I'm examining what American modernity actually means and how do we reinterpret their stories from generation to generation so that's one aspect is silk punk this idea of taking something old from classical East Asia and repurposing it for the construction of American style modernity. What are the blind spots we have when we use only one set of references as the translation source? We're just going with it right because I don't have to be limited by physics
