Las Vegas City - The New Townships, the New Airport, and the Paiutes
The ousted Paiute people are also suffering, but for very different reasons. The US government ramps up its nationwide policy of assimilating Native Americans into mainstream American society. What's referred to as the termination policy ends the federal government's recognition of tribal sovereignty. New township formed in 1950 is called Paradise, a name that evokes the life of those who live there, tax-free. But so long as it continues to flourish alone, that's an unlikely choice.
