Will Lula's Reliance on Nostalgia During the 2022 Campaign Come to Haunt Him?
I don't sense that Lula has quite realized how much Brazil has changed. He is governing in a much more polarized setting than he governed before. I'm not sure that he quite realizes that he's in for a new ballgame. One reason Bolsonaro is in Florida is because he does not want to be tried in Brazil. And one reason he wanted to win the presidency was immunity from prosecution.
