Jonathan Burch: I certainly agree that the way we think and talk about evolution has ramifications for how we view the world. He says most natural systems are CAS2 systems, full of organisms, purposeful organisms, imposing suffering on each other. The best we can hope for is to have a trilingual community that easily speaks each other's language, he says.
