The Power of Suffering Consciously
In Christianity, not so much these days anymore, because most of Christianity these days has also become very superficial. But in Medillo times and before, there was an identification with the archetype of suffering, which is Jesus on the cross. And then through conscious suffering, it's a very powerful process of transcending the ego. The transcendence of suffering does not come until suffering is totally accepted.
