ES module specifier resolution equals node is a flag that you can pass to node when it starts. It will do the same sort of lookup that it does with common JS with ESM. I kind of feel like I was still like, take it off. But especially because when writing TypeScript, you still have to put the dot JS on the end. And that drives me bonkers because it's not a JS file,. It's a TS file, but it's files. Do I want to do that type of thing? We love standards until it makes it hard. Then we just run for our tools that make it work for us.
In this episode of Syntax, Wes and Scott talk through what ESM is, and why you want to move your projects to ESM.
