The west is the society where we have progress. We have change at a rate faster than any other time in human history. But it is progress and change that happens with stability, not with revolution. Revolution causes anti stability, and then it can end up in stasis. So what we have right now is stability under great change. As david dotch talks about a dynamic society. What has enabled this dynamic society? There are many, many things that we do know of that enable this dynamic society. And because we do not know all all these things, all the factors that go into insuring stability, we have to preserve the society as it is until we figure out better ways.
