The Importance of National Intellectual History in a Post-National Age
The author's upcoming book project is a new modern history of Tanzania from 1830 to 2009. Could you tell us a bit more about this project and what it might look like to write a national intellectual history in the age of global histories? Yeah. I think for me, and we've talked a bit about this already, one of the key things that we have to remember is the contingency of the world order that was formed in the mid 20th century.
