The Last Moments of the Captain General's Bravery

Magellan and his crew sailed to the Spice Islands in 18th century. They arrived at Maluku on November 6, but were greeted by 1,500 natives. The Spanish captain general was shot through the leg with a poison arrow; he died soon after. Magellan's last words: "I love you all." He left behind two sons who would go on to lead one of Spain's most successful empires.
