The Role of Fructose in Glycolysis
The only thing that speeds up this enzyme is fructose 26 bisphosphate, which is a kind of a side production line. And so if that's in a high abundance, then the phosphofructokinase will work quite efficiently. Can we just say this is the kind of region where fructose and galactose will come into glycolysis? Yeah, so generally speaking in the liver, that is.
