The ASBAB and the Importance of Education
The ASBAB is a basic aptitude test for recruits to the US military. It aims to make sure they can learn and execute at a high enough level. Back in 1973, there was a huge middle class for them to recruit from. Those days are gone - just 50% of the country can now be considered middle class. And this class gap means there's an education gap too.
