The BBC's Statement on the Scotland Yardees
There is no criminal investigation open at this time, but kind of decoding the Scotland Yardees here. It may be that they're trying to work out what their plan is before they kind of move from scoping to a criminal investigation. But option two could be that the information that the BBC has given them isn't as clear cut and as simple as some people may want it to be. That's going to make the situation very hard for the detectives to actually get at. Either case, points towards a potentially quite long and complicated process of potential evidence gathering.
