Cooperatives

Most every co operative is inherently a for profit organization. That ends of being a pretty big disqualifier from most grants that typically give to non profits. But because of the structure as well, you can't really raise v c funding. Investers are a very small pool that would be interested in investiing a co up in the first place. And so funding is really hard.
