The Impossibility of Vertical Transcendence
Sartre says that vertical transcendence of the situation is impossible because our situations crochels. The best we can do is sort of proceed in spirals to become become something another so the first coil of of jane's spiral is to become a thief to just take on to own that identity and not feel ashamed of being that.
