The Back of a Woman

This is one of the quintessential photos associated with this mystery. A Japanese blogger said that they found this photo was originally published in 1935, which would be two years prior to the final flight even taking off. Based on the amount of fuel and the aircraft, we could definitely see the plane. We could definitely say like modern engineers would say, I don't know if she had the time or range to go actually go to these islands and then fly back to Howland. So it does kind of remove some of those.
