What Does Sciatica Mean to You as a Clinician?
Sciatica is a funny word, isn't it? If you polled clinicians, you'd probably get five or six different definitions. To me, sciatica means ridiculous pain. That's pain caused by some sort of injury,. irritation of the nerve root and the dorsal root ganglion. It causes usually pretty sharp, usually pretty severe pain down the back of the leg.
