The Importance of Resignation
William James: I think what's important about hope is that there is, you know, it has this possible positive feedback effect right. But the nasty thing about resignation is that it can be self-fulfilling and unhelpful. And hopelessness not only in the victims of that unnecessarily prolonged condition but also from those who are beneficiaries of a global voter that permits that. So, that seems right to me. Fabulous. The next chapter will focus on how we deal with our current political moment.
