Introduction

This chapter provides an overview of VV ECMO, a therapy used in intensive care to support patients with compromised lung function. It describes the process of removing blood from the veins, oxygenating it, and returning it to the veins, as well as the challenges and considerations involved in drainage and pipe placement.
