Grit is the ability to persevere through tough patches in pursuit of a worthwhile goal. Quitting, on the other hand, it's about assessing whether a goal is actually worthwhile. It's about recognizing early that things are unlikely to turn out well even if you are gritty in pursuit of that goal. So at least to me, you can be the grittiest person on the planet and be a serial quitter.
