How Do You Feel Cold?

Dr Claire Eglin is an extreme environment's laboratory researcher at the University of Portsmouth. She has been exploring the different things that gender makes in terms of how we feel the cold. Women do tend to feel the cold more than men, and the blood vessels in our skin, they tighten so that it reduces the blood flow to the hands and feet. The fact that that happens more rapidly in women mean that they have that sensation of being cold.
