The New Vacuum Cleaner
After finishing school, he hitchhiked to New York and started making art in his lower-e side apartment. He bought about 20 brand new vacuums and displayed them in cases with fluorescent lights. It was part of a series called The New. Coons had grand ambitions, but needed cash to realize them.
