The Importance of Internal Criticism
In the 1930s there's just lots of writing about labor organizing because labor was relatively strong at that period this is when we see the relative shift of the entire body of workers to the left. During World War II and then immediately after this is kind of the first time in a mass way that black Americans are having contact with colonial black folks it happens in World War I but in much smaller numbers and primarily men.
