The discovery of the deadsea scrolls really increased our awareness of how big of a deal this story was, in particularly that second temple period. We're going to start walking through some stories in the bible and looking at how they portray not just women or the men in the story, but also specifically god as well. The formula we're kind of going to use for a couple of stories here is the situation of the woman, the action of the man, and then god's response. So wergn to look for those three things in a couple f stories.
