I'm glad you brought up influencer culture because one of the ways that social media success has been justified is like, look, at least you can make a living at this and you can do it kind of as your own boss. But that whole influencer culture is a really weird kind of sad, grifty spectacle. My God, I don't know if you've experienced wellness Instagram, but who boy? yeah. It's a scene. Yeah. It's the greatest experiment and sublimated narcissism in human history. That idea that you should be able to make a live at your voice only adds more weight to the burden of that social illness.
