The Hutchinson Biography
Professor Bailin: We can't understand the ideology of the American Revolution until we understand the views of the other side. He says Thomas Hutchinson was an intelligent, well-informed and rational man who lost out because he couldn't respond to passions that were closing his mind. "For all of his ability, [Hutchinson] was defeated totally," Professor Bailin says.
