The Early Hopewell Cultures

The technology itself used to build these mounds was very simple. They had probably pointed sticks and hoes made out of clam shells. But then the other part of that, the process, is that this was not a hierarchical cultureike when the pyramids were built. There's real differences between some of these monuments and, say, the central american monuments that were built essentially by slave labor.
