As societies as aditnes become impacted by global issues and outside contacts, the integrity of their traditions tends to be suppressed. And not even necessarily an active attempt to suppress them, but jus the cultural coherency falls apart. Youe touched on a couple of points here that are very close to by rap, if you will, this idea of the filtering effect. Aldus huxley first articulated that it was the reducing valve ordinary consciousness. Is only possible because of these filtering mechanisms.
