MPT trained their model on a dataset called Book3, which is 190,000 books. The license for some of these books is kind of blurry on what's fair use and what is it. And I think Sean Trumpressor from Luther was just tweeting about this yesterday. He was basically saying, look, as ML engineers, maybe it's better to not try and be the main ethics night.
