The Mystery of the Stardust Flight

On August 2, 1947, a small passenger aircraft called the Stardust sent a cryptic message on its way from Argentina to Chile. After an extensive search of the Andes Mountains, nobody found a trace of the doomed aircraft. The head of British South American Airways was tasked with damage control. He likely hoped if they found the plane, it would prove the airline was a little bit wasn't at fault for the matter. In fact, he believed his company was a victim.
