Liverpool's Tactics Against Manchester City Worked Really Well for Me

Liverpool were numerically outnumbered in the centre of midfield against Manchester City. They tried to even that up by using the front two in Shallard and Firmino to cut off the passing lanes into the midfield section of the pitch for City. And I felt that tactics worked really well as a sort of alluded to within the last podcast. It was a way in which Liverpool could generate chances because they're never going to have to construct massive control of the game with this set-up. However, they weren't able to limit the opportunities that Manchester City were able to get. The two centre-offs fantastic, I felt golemous and Virgil van Dijk, magnificent display from both.
