How Do Journalists Deal With Statistics?
John Sutter: I think one of the biggest lessons that I've learned and thought more about is the way in which statistics are part of the stories that are being framed. He says journalism needs to be defended, but he can be fairly critical when it doesn't seem like it's up to snuff. Rosemary O'Mara: It has gotten better because statistical tools are a lot more accessible. She says she could have been a very different reporter if she had access to some of the things that are available now to journalists.
