The Theology of Honoring One's Parents When They're Abusive
In Matthew for everyone commentary, you used the phrase emotionally manipulative mothers who wreck their children's lives. What does it look like to honor such a mother when a healthy relationship feels and maybe is impossible? I think the honoring of the parents is quite practical in the original Ten Commandments,. Honor One's father and one's mother doesn't mean pretending that they're super people with no flaws.
