Godot - A New Foundation Structure
Godot is an open-source game engine. It runs on Linux as well as of course, a bunch of other platforms you can compile it for BSD if you want to or not on Windows or Mac. They've got a Python like scripting language, like a doc script that's built in. You can also use C sharp if you already know C sharp. So they're platform friendly for us.
