In 19 73, a woman in texas, who would be known as jane roe. She had become pregnant with a new like a co worker after leaving her husband and her husband. And she was afraid of him, if he found out that she had become pregnant, what he might do. So fearing for her life, she attempted to have an abortion but died from this procedure. The image that accompanies any article you want to read about this case was used a lot in the rallies for abortion rights. I don't think anybody wants to see that. But it is evocative and and heart breaking.
