Love Is Not a Feeling

The Bible is just full of such sentences, but I'll just mention one that might tip you off and help you understand me in a lot of my preaching. It's Philippians 2, 12 and 13, work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who is at work in you to will and to do his good play. We are half-hearted creatures fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us like an ignorant child wanting to go on making mud pies in the slum.
