The Gospel Message of Jesus Christ Is Not of Human Origin
Paul was very insistent that his message, his version or understanding of the gospel message of jesus christ, was fully valid and completely equal to the other apostles. His basic message is that people are sinful and unclean, but christ offers salvation if one puts one's trust in him. And part of why, according to paul, that works and makes sense is because christ's suffering and death,. he suffered a terrible death of pain and humiliation that atones for the sins of human kind. So paul made the suffering and death of christ centrally important in his message - not just the fact that he resurrected.
