The Eight Points of Perfect Motherhood
I want to run through eight points that I've developed based on speaking back to those eight points of perfect motherhood articulated by O'Brien. So one is reject the idea that we should be our child's only caregiver and actively move towards including others, our family and our community in caring for our child. Reject the idea that you always have to put your children before us - sometimes putting us first also means meeting the needs of our children. The work is not isolated. We are moving beyond individualistic frameworks and understandings of what it means to exist as a human being in our world.
