Aristophanes' Selection of the Helen

The Helen is about a version of Helen of Sparta who isn't villainized. Aristophanes probably picked it to make fun of Euripides, as if the very existence of this version of her story is funny just for the sake of it. The Andromeda references are particularly interesting to us today because the play itself, the one by Euripide, doesn't survive in anything but fragments.
