The Conflict of Levels of Consciousness
In every religious tradition there are different levels of consciousness operative. At the lowest level, you don't even want to wake up in the morning because your life is a living hell and you're driven in that state. Your very ego is tyrannizes your own heart. Religion operates generally in the first three levels that I'm going to describe. The third level is when a human being reaches basic integration, goodness where the good prevails over the bad. This is salvation in religious terms but it's only the third of seven levels.
